Golden Hour Music Video 🎥

You are golden hour...

Hey, hey, there is a brand new music video out today for Golden Hour!! 🌻

It was a true joy to work with Jordyn Dunseath and Grantland Walker on this project, and I’m so excited to share it with you now. I hope you all enjoy it! You can watch it right here, and if you like it, please share it with someone who makes your life golden.

Jordyn, thank you for capturing the hopeful-heart of this song in such a sweet story (and also for introducing me/us to some beautiful places on the Oregon Coast that I would like to return to immediately, please). You are golden and brilliant at what you do.

And Grant, thank you for producing this music video, for organizing this whole adventure, and for helping me to be brave--this video would not be without you!

Here's hoping for many more such projects in the future...

The Mirror Go Machine II: Lavender Skies

Oh, man, I had so much fun writing a sequel!

Early in the writing, my niece happened to see the storyboard sticky notes covering every inch of my little green desk, and specifically she noticed one that said: The machine breaks down

"The Mirror Go Machine breaks down--what?! That can't happen!!"

So first of all, the fact that she or anyone cares about my Mirror Go Machine enough to care if it breaks down in Alaska... fills this songwriter's heart up to the clouds.

"Is it going to stay broken?" she asked.

I smiled.

"Well, you'll just have to listen to the song…"

Listen to Lavender Skies here!

Aaaaand… there’s a new music video headed your way on Monday—November 6!

Colors & Covers releases next Friday—November 10th!
(One more week to pre-order and get a first-out-of-the-box, signed copy!)

Bluebird

And the next single is…

"Bluebird" was the first song I wrote for this album—the first color and the first opening line, and it began in 2020. ... There is so much I could say, but you know.

It was a time of loss, and there was so little to do about it all.

In 2020, I came across a story about a theater in New York—another theater closing down without any way of knowing how long the doors would be locked shut, and here is where I learned about the tradition of a ghost light. It is tradition when a show closes for a theater to leave a light in the auditorium shining down on the stage until their next production begins. But for this New York theater, their ghost light was not only following an old tradition but it was also a promise. A promise that they would return. They would open the doors again—their theater and everything within it would be back.

I needed a ghost light promise of my own...

This is Bluebird. I hope you like it.

Dear Mr. Green

There's a brand new song out today (surprise!!) called "Dear Mr. Green,” and you can find it on Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, and… all of the places!

It was inspired by a beautiful garden about 20 minutes from my house and the secret gardener who takes such perfect care of it. Ah, I hope you like this song.

Listen to Dear Mr. Green here!
