Click here for a preview of Album Three!
One of my songs (which will be on that third album coming sometime this fall...) has been entered for consideration to the Independent Music Awards!! You can listen to it here! And if you like what you hear, please nominate it! Every listen, vote, and share helps tremendously.
This song is called "Like No Tomorrow".
The story comes from true ones, and those true stories and the people behind them are close to my heart. Because of this, this is the only time I'll post about the IMA's in conjunction with this song. Unless we win, of course. :)
Perhaps I'll get a Behind-the-Song post in the works...
I loved working with Joel, Gary, Paul (do you love that cello as much as I do?), and John to make this song what I hoped it could be. I hope you like it.

Next Week!
I'm so excited! My dear Illinois friends--I would love to see you!!
Of House Concerts
Last Thursday night, I had the opportunity to put on a house concert.
These are also sometimes known as secret shows.
And oh my goodness… It was a wonderful night.
A million thanks to my hosts for inviting me to sing in their home (they are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I was incredibly blessed by this huge gift), for making it so easy for me to just show up and sing, and for inviting friends who are just as wonderful as they are.
The people, the setting, and the atmosphere were all beautiful.
This was one of my favorites to date, and I won't forget it.

Memorial Day
"I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain.
You weren't afraid to face the devil,
You were no stranger to the rain.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done.
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son.
Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve.
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done.
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done.
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son."

Hey, hey! Spotify!
Let the confetti-throwing commence!
Why?
Well…
See that little blue checkmark?
As of right now, my Spotify account has been verified!
Thanks to you, I am now able to control the Spotify channel where my music plays!
And we step forward.
One of the things I can do now is share playlists... which is just fun.
On the heels of a road trip to the East Coast and back again, I put a playlist together the other day of my favorite road-trip songs--Gordon Lightfoot, Michael Martin Murphy, John Denver.... And you can find it there or right here.
I'm excited to take control of my Spotify channel...
Thank you so, so much.
If you haven't yet, please do follow me on Spotify!
